Just finished another hat for the Avery hats and scarves group. I used some green yarn that was donated to the group and combined it with some of my Rainbow Boucle white yarn (i have entirely too much of it) I really liked the green yarn because it had so many different greens in it. Hopefully it will bring a smile to a child’s face

This is one of the hats I knit for the Avery Hats and Scarves knitting group I am a part of. We knit hats and scarves for children with cancer and blood disorders that are in the local Atlanta children’s hospitals. I used two different yarns for this one and just did a basic hat pattern (rolled brim, nothing fancy) but I love the color and it is super soft. These hats are always fun because I can get one finished within two hours, so if I’ve been working on a blanket for a while its nice to take a break and finish something quickly. (little bit of instant gratification) Plus these hats go to such a good cause it’s nice to know I can use my skill to help others and possibly bring a smile to a sick child’s face.
